We traveled 12 hours by car so Jacob and Mia could meet Grandma and Grandpa Hock, their Aunt Diana, Uncle Shane, cousin Aiden, Aunt Kate, and many friends who live in Virginia. They were perfect on the drive both ways, although quite fussy the days following.

While we were in Virginia, we took a quick trip to the Outer Banks, North Carolina to enjoy the beach. Since it was so hot, we got a hotel on the beach so that we didn't have to be out in the sand to feel like we were there. Aunt Kate joined us and she was a huge help. We all took turns staying the hotel room with the kiddos while the other two enjoyed the water. It really was too hot to sit in sun anyway.

While we were in Virginia, we went to the doctor's office to weigh Jacob and Mia. Jacob gained 17 oz in two weeks and now weighs almost as much as Mia, 6 lbs. 14 oz. Mia gained 10 oz and weighs 7 lbs. That was almost a week ago, so I am sure they weigh more now.
