The Plane Ride

We headed to the USA on Dec 15. We flew to Johannesburg, where we connected to New York. It was an 18 hour flight including a stop in Senegal for refueling. The kids did great. We requested bulk head seats where they attached two bassenets to the wall for Jacob and Mia. This is Mia asleep in the bassinet on the plane. We put an eye cover over her eyes to try to block out the light! On our return to Africa, Mia did not do so well. I think she had had enough of all the traveling and was quite fussy. In the first picture you will see Mia strapped in watching the Lemurs of Madagascar. It was the closest thing to Baby Einstein that the plane offered.
