Sledding for the first time

We FINALLY got snow! It has barely snowed all winter and has been very mild. We had 70 degree weather for many days on end. But of course, on our spring break, when we wanted to camp and climb we got the biggest snow storm of the season. So instead we took the kids sledding for the first time.

Mia went with me the first time and she didn't like it at all.

Jacob went with Jimmy next and he LOVED it!

We got Mia to go again with Jimmy after we assured her she could go to the park next.

Here's Jacob and me.

Jacob loved carrying the sled back up. Soon he wanted to try by himself.

Then he proceeded to say "faster!" each time he went. So Jimmy would push Jacob so he would go faster. And Jacob would go down and then walk back up and say "More!"

This is one of those days I should have had the video camera. Soon Jacob started do "moves." Towards the end of the hill, Jacob would put his hands in the air. He also would lie down on the tube.

In the meantime, here's Mia swinging on the swings. She kept yelling for Jacob to come swing with her and Jacob would yell for Mia to come watch him sled.

We convinced Mia to go on her own.

Check out her face in this shot. She doesn't look happy. At the end she started to cry again, but said she wanted to do it again!

Jimmy took them sledding again today. They both got more daring and went on their stomachs. So much fun!
